When do Registrations Close?
Registrations for all participants (Competitors, Team Managers and Official Supporters) close 14 October 2018. After this date no more entries to events will be allowed.
What is the MARQUAY?
The MARQUAY is the Games Social Hub. The MARQUAY is the place to relax and enjoy the company of fellow competitors, whilst being entertained by various bands and acts throughout the week. Please remember the MARQUAY is an 18+ Venue.
I would like to bring my partner or supporter/s to the Games, do I need to do anything?
If you would like your partner or supporter/s to access the MARQUAY and social functions, they are required to register as an Official Supporter. There is a $40 Official Supporter fee, which entitles your partner or supporter/s to an Accreditation pass, registration pack (valued at $100) and access to all social events at the MARQUAY.

Where do I collect my Accreditation pass and my awesome registration pack?
Simply attend the Registration Desk, located within the MARQUAY, during the hours listed above. One of our extraordinary volunteers will help you.
What happens if I can't attend between the Registration Desk's Opening Hours?
Please email us ASAP at APESGames2018@police.wa.gov.au so we can discuss alternative arrangements.
What do I need to collect my Accreditation?
You will need photo identification (ID). The Registration Desk will only accept the following ID;
You will also need to bring a copy of your registration receipt. We are happy to view this on your mobile device or a printed copy.
Why do I need my Accreditation Pass?
You will need your Accreditation Pass to check in and participate at your events. If you do not have your Accreditation Pass, you will not be able to compete in your event.
If I’m participating in the Athletes March, what do I need to be aware of?
What should I wear for the Athletes March?
All participants in the march MUST wear their accreditation pass.
Wear your AP&ES Games State shirt or team uniform and represent your team otherwise casual attire is suitable.
Make sure you are wearing comfortable shoes as you will be required to walk and stand in the lead up to and during the ceremony.
We encourage everyone involved in the Games to please be sun smart, wear a hat and sun screen when in the sun.
How long will the Opening Ceremony go for?
The Opening Ceremony will commence at 6pm along the Eastern Foreshore with the ceremony concluding at 7pm. The City of Mandurah will provide live entertainment with a band performing until 9pm who will break at 8pm for the fireworks performance.
Where can my family and friends view the Opening Ceremony?
Family and friends are encouraged to watch on from the prime viewing area along the Eastern Foreshore. We need as many of supporters to cheer you all on from the side lines as your march into the Opening Ceremony.
What can I do during the day of the Opening Ceremony?
The City of Mandurah is providing an array of community activations along the Eastern Foreshore with market stalls, agency assets and Special Olympic WA sporting activities from 12pm.
The second sporting event for the day will commence at 1pm with the PEEL District Cycling Criterion commencing and the GAMES Criterion to follow at 3pm along Mandurah Tce.
At 4pm, cheer on the Law Enforcement Torch Relay. Together with the Police Pipe Band, the Special Olympic WA will partake in the torch relay along Mandurah Tce through to the MARQUAY.
As the Opening Ceremony grows near, the public is welcome to watch on from the prime viewing area along the Eastern Foreshore. Large TV screens will display a live feed from the Opening Ceremony, so we encourage the community to bring chairs, rugs and even a picnic to enjoy the ceremony up close.
